Rose Muralikrishnan - Profile
Rose Muralikrishnan one of the leading vocalist in South Indian Carnatic Music tradition,
captured thousands of music lover's hearts all around the world with her mesmerizing tonal
quality of her voice. She was born and brought up in Chennai, India, and hailed from a Traditional
South Indian family where her father was a lawyer and mother a teacher. Unlike her parents,
she chose the  unique professional career of Carnatic vocal  to pursue . After she graduated
with M.A degree in Carnatic music from the University of Madras she had her advanced voice
training from the legendary musician and performer late
Dr. M.L. Vasanthakumari.  Rose
also had an opportunity to study under many outstanding music teachers such as  Calcutta
Krishnamurthy, Suguna Varadhachari, Dr. N. Ramanathan, and  Anandhavalli  in Chennai, India.

Before her Master's Degree she received Bachelor's Degree from Queen Mary's College,
Chennai, India  in South Indian Music performance and theory. She sang for numerous classical
and devotional recordings in different South Indian languages in India.  She composed, directed
and sang for several musical productions as well,  and her performances are often  broad
casted on Indian Televisions and All India Radio.
